this interactive half-day symposium will feature leading scientists working in the Arctic and Antarctic, and related activities led by experienced polar science educators from the ANDRILL, WISSARD
and U.S. Ice Drilling Programs. Build your background knowledge about climate change science and learn how scientists use data from sediment cores,
ice cores, and even microbes living in the ice, to interpret our climate records.
- Learn about the latest in cutting-edge polar science research from the scientists;
- Participate in engaging hands-on activities that support key national science standards;
- Get your questions answered by NINE polar experts during a facilitated panel discussion;
- Attend on Saturday, March 12th.
- Take home FREE classroom-tested and scientist-approved curricula, books, videos,
and creative
ideas
to use in your classroom now!
- Door prizes and refreshments provided.
